A $200 DIY Snowshovel Windmill Project

This entire alternative energy project costs less than $200 to build. And, yes, those are snow shovels that you see in the photo. Once built, the windmill will need to be connected to some kind of appropriate alternator and then can generate 300 watts of power.

This is the easiest homemade windmill you will find!

CORRECTION! In the video I said 3000w generator... I meant to say 300w... sorry about that. (senior moment) Also, my total cost was a little under $200.

27" Snow Shovels 
4" Round Weatherproof Box 
4" Round Weatherproof Cover 
Galvanized Pipe Nipple, 3/4-Inch X 12-Inch 
EMT Snap N Set Screw Connector, 3/4" 
J-B Weld 
Self-Drilling Screws 
Pillow Block Bearings

You will also need a stick of 3/4" EMT electrical conduit.
