In a very rustic setting these buses provide shelter from the elements. Enjoy the wooden stove to warm up your nights and have the starry sky as your backdrop.

Off the Grid, Buses have wood heat. Easy access on main road, several beautiful busses to choose from. only 1 1/2 miles from Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. 8 miles to Taos.

Staying at the bus hostel was an adventure, come prepared for primitive camping and you'll be golden. We came last minute, but Rachel was very flexible and helped us get settled in. It was very rural and quiet, which was nice.

Wood Stoves in each Bus, must be familiar w Fire. Busses are quite comfortable, but off the grid. set up as individual spaces. 8 miles from Taos, on a main good road. Fantastic views of the Taos Mountain and town lights at night. pets welcome.

The Space

Busses are rented depending on availability and have from 1-3 beds and can accommodate single, a couple, or a small group. They are bright and sunny but you must understand off the grid:) dont forget wood and a ax to chop it. Your worm sleeping bag and a flashlight.

Guest Access

There is a nice clean shared Outhouse. Other than that cooking, cleaning and bathing is all done in your bus on your wood stove. In the summer we have a solar shower.
Don't forget to bring everything you would need camping. Some busses have more adminities than others.

Interaction with Guests Im available on my cell when needed.

Other Things to Note

Wood is a must durring winter months, you may bring your own or buy from the local saw mill just down the road. sells for around $30 row. typically runs about $5-7 a day, depending on your bus and how much you are home.
