Beautiful A-Frame Cabin

Categories: TinyHouse, Homes / Dwellings

A vacation home, really any home, is only as good as what it is close to. By that calculus, this A-frame cabin located way out in Washington state is the perfect place for a Pacific Northwest getaway.

With room enough to sleep 6, this well stocked and cozy home is just a short drive or walk away from some of the best hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and skiing in the state. Given its location, just a mile or so outside of the town of Skykomish, the only neighbors you have will be the trees – and the critters that live in them. If you are a big skier, staying in this house can get you discounted lift tickets. For when you are headed back after a long day outdoors, you can pour yourself some hot complimentary hot coco and flip on the 32 inch HD TV or crack open your laptop. Oh, and you can bring your dog along too. Prices per night vary between $140-$160 with a minimum stay or 2 nights.

House Rules

RECENT UPDATES: We've just installed all new flooring (including the subfloor). We've added brand new french doors as our main entry. We've also added a record player and an updated stove/oven recently. We are starting phase 2 of our remodel this fall :-)

FULL DISCLOSURE: Our cabin community is just off highway 2 (as are most of the communities in the area). You can see from our reviews that most guests find our place quiet and only a couple have complained about the highway noise. We just want to point this out for full disclosure :-) We also charge a $75 cleaning fee which is typical for the area. We actually pay the cleaning company $90 so we absorb some of this cost. It's a necessary fee as we are remote and all laundry, garbage, etc. all has to be taken off site. Thank you for understanding. We've removed the $100 security deposit to help offset the initial cost of a reservation.

This 1100 sq ft A-frame is settled in the private cabin community of Timber Lane Village boasting the closest cabin location (with electricity) to Steven's Pass Ski Resort. Whether you're skiing in the winter or hiking/mountain biking/fishing in the summer, this cabin is right where you want to be. This classic A-frame is covered with ski mountain posters dating back 30 years ago and is the perfect retreat for guests looking for a home away from home with easy access to the slopes. We also provide tear sheets for our guests that want to venture out on hiking trails. Tye Haus is surrounded by some of the best hikes in the Pacific Northwest.

Inside the Timber Lane Village community, trails lead to 3 private community beaches on the South Fork of the Skykomish with new picnic tables and barbecues and offer picturesque views of the river and surrounding forests. The cabin is fully furnished with 3 beds in the upper loft and 1 bed in the upper 2nd bedroom. All of the comforters and pillows are down along with high thread count comfortable linens. The living room also has 1 hide-a-bed couches for larger groups. The kitchen is fully furnished with enough dishes and utensils for about 8-10 guests. Other amenities include a 1 40" HD TV downstairs and a 32" HD Television upstairs, high speed wireless internet, Netflix, board games, Wii gaming system with a handful of games, a great collection of cult classics and some children's movies on DVD (about 100 movies), and a fire pit just off the new deck. We also keep a small propane grill up there for guest use (during summer months). Please bring a small propane bottle just in case (we try to have some up there).

We do have a coffee maker as well as a coffee press and grinder.

We have a 2 day minimum on weekends and only 1 day on weekdays. 3 day weekends have a 3 day minimum requirement and are subject to higher rates. Please inquire for holiday rates.
